Locals react to deadly shooting at V.B. pizza shop
My niece was involved in an armed robbery Saturday night. She was about 4 feet away from the bad guy when her boss shot him. Fortunately, she's ok. She's kept her head about her and seems to be dealing with the situation well. We're ridiculously proud of the maturity she's shown throughout this and VBPD apparently thinks she's hysterical (I do too). I see a lot of myself in her which scares me sometimes, but it's times like this that I'm so thankful that she's like me. Not that I'm even implying that I would have dealt with the situation as well as she did, but I'm proud of her nonetheless. She's a good kid and whip smart. I think the world is in trouble!
