Updates

Sorry to anyone who cares that I've been incommunicado lately. I've been a busy girl. I've put in a bunch of flower beds and plants, moved an assload of dirt (860 lbs), planted a ridiculous number of plants, and basically totally exhausted myself in the past couple of weeks, which is good. Also I've started studying for the bar again. Grrrrr!

Anyway, lost 2.4 this week. My total's at 21.4 so my next big goal is 25. I often think, "holy crap! I can't believe I'm actually doing this!" But I'm glad I am.

4.6 4.6 4.6 whooooooooooooo!

Admittedly, I'm stupidly excited. Last week was a little disappointing. But this week...AWESOME! I'm down 4.6 pounds! Woo hoo! That puts my total at 19 pounds since I started. The coolest thing is that I see the difference in the choices I make, food and otherwise. It's interesting in the fact that I never thought I'd see such a thing in myself. Even more so, I'm really, REALLY glad I've made the changes I have. I feel like I can only get better from here. Is that just dumb?

Who'da thunk it?

Never in my life did I ever think I'd feel like I couldn't eat enough. I'm way ahead on activity points today & I still have like 12 points left to eat. I guess the WW people are going to be fussing at me again. There's just no middle ground with me!

The cat got a temporary reprieve. The vet says he has a bladder infection. I suppose it's possible but I'm not entirely convinced. If it is, it's not like any other bladder infection he's ever had. We shall see.

Random thought: Billy Mays (the Oxiclean and various other infomercial wares guy) has GOT to be the most annoying human being on the face of the planet. If you act now you'll get 2 handy switches, 2 receivers, and 2 stick on lights! Sign me up!

Progress!

I was down 2.6 lbs this week which made me very happy but they're fussing at me about losing too quickly. If I continue to lose more than 2 lbs a week I'll have to be under a doctor's supervision. I can't win! Story of my life! I use all my points and I'm not exercising obsessively or anything like that so I don't know what else to do. It's just the rate I'm losing at. I'm going to go to the doc and get supervised to make the WW people happy and hopefully they'll be appeased.

Not sure what to do about the cat still. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to have him look him over. I'll see what he says and go from there.

Dammit!

So I may very well be cat free by the end of the week. Since the vet told me Khan was suffering from either kidney failure or cancer I've always said that when he starts peeing in weird places...it's time. I normally do the cat box on Monday night because Tuesday is trash day. I'm cleaning my office yesterday (where the cat box is in the closet), I realize the cat box hasn't been used AT ALL this week. Which begs the question, where exactly has the cat been doing his business since Monday? He did use it once today, but it may very well be time. I love the cat to bits, but I just can't do the not using the box thing.

The idea of losing both cats in less than a month sucks, but it is what it is. At least with Khan it's not so unexpected. I've known for some time that it would come about and I've had a bit of time to prepare. It still sucks, but there ya go.
